The Visa d'Or awards
The award for Daily Press went to Jan Grarup for his coverage of the refugee crisis in the Darfur region of the Sudan for the Danish newspaper Politiken.
James Hill of The New York Times won the Best Magazine award for his feature taken in Beslan, Russia, the city where hostage takers seized a school and killed more than 300 people, including many children.
Philip Blenkinsop of the Vu agency won the Visa d'Or for News for his work on the Indian Ocean tsunami.
